Lucy's research focuses on the role of Scl in early blood development, and she has generated beautiful zebrafish BAC lines for this purpose. She is spending two months at the lab of Scott Fraser in USC, where she will be imaging these lines using state-of-the-art technology to gain new knowledge of what is currently known about Scl development. In fact, Lucy has some preliminary data that could challenge the current understanding of how Scl-expressing cells behave, so we are very excited to follow her progress in weeks to come!
